A graduate from UCC, Jim has over 15 years of medical experience. He has worked in Ireland, New Zealand and most recently Australia where he gained his qualification as GP. A native of County Clare, Jim returned home with his young family in 2019 to work with Dr Billy O’Connell, and recently took over the practice following Dr Billy’s retirement. Jim has a wide range of expertise, particularly in the areas of older persons health, paediatrics, emergency care and lifestyle medicine. Outside of work you might see Jim on the golf course or enjoying the beautiful beaches of West Clare with his family.‍

Dr Jim Galvin

General Practitioner

MB BCh BaO, BMedSc, MRCPUK, FRACGP

A native of Mullagh, Dympna will be a familiar face to many and brings a wealth of knowledge to the practice, with a special interest in women’s health, palliative care (EPEPC) and clinical education. Dympna is an avid runner, and when not at work she enjoys athletics, gaelic football and music.

Dr Dympna O’Dwyer

General Practitioner

Dimitri recently joined the practice on a part time basis, and has a wealth of medical experience in both Ireland and Greece after qualifying as a doctor in 1997, and then completing his GP training in 2003. Dimitri has a special interest in cardiology and emergency medicine and worked extensively in these areas in his home city of Patras before moving to Clare with his family in 2017. As a passionate amateur photographer, Dimitri enjoys this whenever he gets the chance, and has even won several awards for his work!‍

Dr Dimitrios Tsortanidis

Dimitri recently joined the practice on a part time basis, and has a wealth of medical experience in both Ireland and Greece after qualifying as a doctor in 1997, and then completing his GP training in 2003. Marie will be well known to many in the practice, having worked alongside Dr Billy since 1991. With a wealth of experience in all areas of practice nursing, Marie has a special interest in antenatal and postnatal care, cervical screening, asthma and chiropody. A native of Mullagh, Co. Clare, Marie can pour the perfect pint and will always have a great story to tell!

Marie Conway

Marie will be well known to many in the practice, having worked alongside Dr Billy since 1991. With a wealth of experience in all areas of practice nursing, Marie has a special interest in antenatal and postnatal care, cervical screening, asthma and chiropody. A native of Mullagh, Co. Clare, Marie can pour the perfect pint and will always have a great story to tell!

Suzie joined the team in 2021 following many years of experience in the maternity hospital. Suzie joined the team in 2021 following many years of experience in the maternity hospital. Natalie trained as a nurse in her native New Zealand and has gained extensive experience in New Zealand, Australia and Ireland since qualifying in 2007. After spending 7 years in Australia where she worked as a community nurse, she relocated to Ireland in 2019 with her husband and 2 young children. She has a special interest in advanced wound care, palliative care, and chronic disease management. In her spare time Natalie enjoys walking the cliffs, reading and cooking.

Natalie Galvin

Registered Nurse/Practice Manager

Natalie trained as a nurse in her native New Zealand and has gained extensive experience in New Zealand, Australia and Ireland since qualifying in 2007. After spending 7 years in Australia where she worked as a community nurse, she relocated to Ireland in 2019 with her husband and 2 young children. She has a special interest in advanced wound care, palliative care, and chronic disease management. In her spare time Natalie enjoys walking the cliffs, reading and cooking.

Caroline has been a valued member of the practice since 2003. As part of our admin team, Caroline plays a vital role in liasing with patients and the medical staff. With experience in all areas of practice administration, Caroline will always ensure that the needs of the patients are met. A local of Ennistymon, Caroline is an active member of the Ennistymon Choral Society, and is a committed sea swimmer, rain or shine!

Caroline has been a valued member of the practice since 2003. As part of our admin team, Caroline plays a vital role in liasing with patients and the medical staff.
